Editorial Policy

GreenNewsDesk publishes practical guides on solar power, electric vehicles, composting, water conservation, ESG and green finance for readers in India. This editorial policy explains who writes our articles, how we research them, and how we keep them accurate. It applies to every article, tool and guide on greennewsdesk.in.

Who Is Responsible for Our Content

All content is planned, reviewed and published under the editorial direction of Adam, Lead Editor. Adam is an SEO specialist and marketing consultant with a postgraduate degree in commerce, and he is accountable for the accuracy and tone of the site. What We Cover

We focus on three areas. Green Tech & Innovation covers solar, electric vehicles and clean-energy technology. Green Living Guide covers composting, water saving and sustainable habits at home. Green Finance & Business covers ESG, carbon markets and sustainable investing. We stay inside these topics because we want to cover them in depth.

How We Research an Article

Every article starts with a reader question, such as how much a rooftop solar system costs or how a tax rule works. We then follow these steps.

  1. Check primary sources first. We use government and regulator publications where they exist, for example the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Power, the GST Council and CBIC, SEBI, and the Income Tax Department.
  2. Add manufacturer and technical data. For products and technologies we use official specification sheets, standards and technical references.
  3. Use reputable secondary sources. Established news outlets and industry bodies help us confirm prices, launches and market trends. We label figures from trade sites or market-research firms as estimates.
  4. Cross-check numbers. We compare key figures across more than one source and work through any calculation ourselves, such as payback periods, loan interest and running costs.
  5. Flag uncertainty. When sources disagree, or a rule is still changing, we say so and tell the reader where to confirm the latest position.

How We Handle Prices, Rules and Dates

Prices, subsidies, tax rates and policies change often. We state whether a price is ex-showroom or installed, we describe figures as approximate when they come from launch reports or estimates, and we explain the assumptions behind any worked example. Our articles are educational and do not replace advice from a qualified professional. Investing and tax articles carry a clear note that they are not financial or tax advice.

Use of AI Tools

We use AI-assisted tools to help with research, structuring and first drafts. AI does not decide what we publish. Our editor sets the topics, checks the sources and numbers, and approves each article before it goes live. We do not publish content that we have not reviewed.

Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Editorial decisions are separate from advertising and affiliate relationships. A brand cannot pay to change our assessment of its product. If an article contains affiliate links or sponsored content, we disclose it as described in our advertising and affiliate disclosure.

Updates and Corrections

We review articles when rules, prices or technology change, and we fix mistakes quickly. Read our corrections and updates policy to see how readers can report an error and how we respond.

Our Tools and Calculators

Our calculators, such as the solar panel savings calculator and the EV vs petrol cost calculator, give estimates based on the inputs you provide and on stated assumptions. They do not replace a site survey or professional advice.
